About the course

These hands-on learning workshops cover a variety of technology topics from electronics to robotics. Math and science concepts are utilized to create or investigate some aspect of technology. Examples include speakers, electric motor, encoding, programming, encoding, computer guts, etc.

Each session is 90 minutes. The topics being explored are introduced and discussed sufficiently to understand key concepts. Students then work on one or more activities that illustrate/explore the topics for the workshop. In some cases students take home the item they create.

It is recommended that participants have knowledge of and the ability to apply 7th grade or higher math and science skills. Reviews will be provided as needed but are not the focus of the workshops.
